Julienne Marie Page

9/27/55 -- 7/25/94

Words cannot describe the type of person Julienne is, other than special.

To two very important people - she's a daughter; others - a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin; and to everyone - a friend. I truly believe there isn't a soul in this room that she didn't touch in some way. I was blessed to have her as my aunt.

The memories we hold together are amazing. To name a few, she wasn't too fond of putting me to bed when I was little because I cried all the time. We went to the beach and a little boy kicked sand on her, she wasn't too impressed. One day she took my cousin Gretchen, my sister Christine, and I to the movies to see Superman. Christine cried because she was scared. She took Christine in her lap, hugged her, and said, "It'll be alright, it's just a movie". I would have done anything to say, Auntie, it'll be okay, it's just a movie. But unfortunately this was reality. If only I could hear her call me little brat one more time I think my smile would last forever.

I know there were a lot of times when people said I wish there was something I can do. Just being there was enough. So, on behalf of my aunt I thank you all very much for giving your strength, love, caring, and time for her throughout her last moments.

The beauty she carried came from her heart and out through her long red hair. She'll always be glowing. I wanted to pick a star from the sky and name it after her to symbolize life, but, because of the person she was a star isn't bright enough. The sun could only do the trick. So, everytime the sun shines bright, that's her, smiling that amazing smile. She's now in a land of peace. I thank God for that.

They say life is a puzzle which you put together yourself. Because of her strength, wit, humor, and ability to accept life, she completed a piece everyday she lived. The significance of her puzzle, I believe, is Peace.

I know it's not fair to see your children go before you go, but Nanny and Grampy, you were there for her first breath, and you were there for her last. That's a gift.

I know a quote she would say and hope for you all to follow. Remember yesterday, dream of tomorrow, but live for today.

My blessings go out to you Auntie. I love and miss you dearly, and I'm thanking God you're now at peace. Too-ta-lou Princess.
